Department of Microeconomics and Public Economics · Maastricht University

Welcome to my homepage. I was born in Athens, and grew up in Patras, which is located on the west coast of Greece.

Currently I am an Associate Professor in the Department of Microeconomics and Public Economics (MPE) and PhD Director within the Graduate School of Business and Economics (GSBE) at Maastricht University.

I serve as an Associate Editor in the Journal of Economic Behavior and Organization, and Coordinating Editor in Theory and Decision.

My Erdos Number is (at most) 3. I do not have an Erdos-Bacon Number yet, but some day I would like to acquire one.

Research Interests

My research expertise lies on Game Theory, Decision Theory and Behavioral Economics. Currently I am focusing on the relationship among beliefs, information and behavior (e.g., how to measure beliefs, how beliefs are revised on the face of new information, how beliefs affect behavior, how to design information in order to induce certain behavior, etc). I am also working on interesting applications within political science and sports. In the past, I have also worked on classical solution concepts, communication and agreement, cooperation in public good provision, risk preferences, epistemic foundations of game theory, evolutionary dynamics, neuroeconomic foundations of belief updating, and sample selection models in econometrics. Occasionally, I also work on interesting (mathematical) problems within other fields.
